The sixth edition of the World Baseball Classic is currently going on, and the group stage has concluded, and the quarterfinals are set. Starting off in group A in Puerto Rico, the host nation alongside Canada was able to qualify. Although Puerto Rico is less talented than usual, still look for them to cause some chaos in the knockouts. In group B in Houston, Italy held an undefeated 4-0 record behind an electric performance from Vinnie Pasquantino. The USA received a scare, getting upset by Italy, but still managing to make it through with some help. Although they suffered a loss, this US team is still uber-talented with stars like Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper.

Group C, held in Tokyo featured the Japanese squad advance alongside South Korea. Japan, the reigning champions features two Dodgers stars in Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto. Finally in Miami, Group D had team Dominican Republic and Venezuela advancing. Currently the favorites for the competition, the DR has the best lineup in the competition with players like Juan Soto, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. -Jack Dusek
