In a random game on a Tuesday night between the tanking Washington Wizards and play-in Miami Heat, Bam Adebayo decided to have one of the greatest games in NBA History. Adebayo had 83 points, shooting 46% from the field, 32% from three, and taking a whopping 43 free throws. Adebayo was immediately on fire coming into the game, draining multiple threes in the first quarter and winding up with 31 in the opening 12 minutes. He was on the bench for about half the second, but still had 43 entering halftime. At the end of the third, Adebayo had topped the previous Heat record of 61 set by LeBron James. By the final few minutes of the game, Bam was dead-tired, barreling through players, but getting lots of fouls called. His 83 points at the end of the game puts him second all-time, passing Kobe Bryant (81) and sitting behind Wilt Chamberlain’s legendary 100. -Jack Dusek
