NBA superstar, and podcaster Paul George suspended for violation of the NBA’s anti drug policy.

Philadelphia 76ers star PF Paul George was recently suspended from the NBA after a drug test came back positive. While the drug has not been specified by George, or the NBA, George has been suspended for 25 games. This revelation comes at a time where George had finally started to rebound from a lackluster season and a half averaging 16 PPG over his last 5 games, including a 32 point game against the Milwaukee Bucks. Paul George issued a statement regarding the situation saying “Over the past few years, I’ve discussed the importance of mental health, and in the course of recently seeking treatment for an issue of my own, I made the mistake of taking an improper medication. I take full responsibility for my actions and apologize to the Sixers organization, my teammates and the Philly fans for my poor decision-making during this process.” The heartfelt message indicates that he has no disagreement with league decision and will not be appealing the suspension. The move has also raised rumors about whether the Sixers could now move to trade for star PF Giannias Antetokounmpo to replace George for the next NBA season.
