As graduation approaches and the Class of 2025 prepares to toss their caps into the air, Northern High School Patriots are taking a moment to reflect on the past four years. From hilarious hallway mishaps to unforgettable class pranks, there were so many memories made during high school.

High school isn’t just about grades and tests—it’s also about the friendships formed, the inside jokes shared, and the moments that turned into stories. Seniors have a lot to look back on (and to laugh at!) from their last four years as high school students.

Senior Wyatt Wright said, “my best memory from high school was during my junior year. It was the seniors’ last day and I decided I didn’t want to go to class, so I went to the senior picnic with my friend Drew. Drew got picked off because they knew he wasn’t a senior, but they didn’t know that I wasn’t so I went on the slip and slide and ended up going back to class soaking wet.”

Memories were not just made outside the classroom, those days when even the teachers needed a little break are the days students remember most. When the Jenga blocks were pulled out of the cabinet and the Uno cards were dealt on the table. Or when your science teacher said, “today we are going to watch the Lorax… it’s about the environment… so it relates to science.” It’s during those moments, like when Mr. Norfolk throws a pancake party, that high schoolers create memories and friendships that will carry with them even after graduation.

As students head toward new adventures, many say it’s those seemingly small moments, the ones that may have caused a little chaos, that defined their high school experience. Like when your science teacher sparks a fire or blows something up for a science experiment.

Senior Arron Noleppa said, “ Looking back, I think my favorite memory was when I was walking down the hallway and I saw these guys pushing each other around. I thought they were going to start fighting, but then they pushed the one guy into a corner and they started tickling him and no one in the hallway stopped or questioned it.”

These stories remind us that high school is more than just a stepping stone, it’s a chapter filled with laughter, growth, and life-long memories.
