A cultural party or a foereign sounding performance?

On Sunday night the Superbowl audience didn’t just watch a football game, they also witnessed a cultural mega party. When the lights went down and halftime began Bad Bunny immediately showcased just why he was the top global artist in 2025.

After a historic grammy win for album of the year on his album “Debí Tirar Más Fotos” the sentiment after Bad Bunny’s halftime show was announced were mixed. How could an artist who’s songs are all in spanish captivate a largely english speaking crowd? After the halftime show I’m convinced he shattered many people’s doubts. The energetic performance of many of his hit songs, left the show feeling like a party more than just a performance.

The performance was an exciting mix of traditional Puerto Rican culture and dancing, leading you through a grass field following Bad Bunny. At one point the show even took a very brief pause for a real wedding. The constant shifting of events left no time to be wasted on boredom.

Even the guest list was stacked. Although only Lady Gaga and Ricky Martin performed songs with Bad Bunny at the superbowl celebrity appearances onstage included stars such as Karol G, Cardi B, Ronald Acuna Jr and Pedro Pascal. These appearances brung the performance to life catching your attention at every turn.

Overall I would rate the show an 8/10.
