Fans are intrigued to see how Ken Carson is going to do with such a big crowd and such little time to prepare.

Fans are incredibly shocked to see NBA YoungBoy will no longer be performing in the Rolling Loud festival in Orlando. Days before the event, YoungBoy had canceled going to Rolling Loud and would no longer be headlining the festival. He posted to his Instagram Stories, “To my Rolling Loud Family, I won’t be making it this time. I just need some time away from traveling and performing right now. Love to everybody supporting me, I’ll forever appreciate y’all!” Hours later, Rolling Loud reposted the message on their story and shared the new lineup scheduling Ken Carson as his replacement.
Ken Carson is a fast-growing underground rapper who has been gaining popularity since early 2020. He signed Playboi Carti’s label of Opium in late 2019 so for his fans to see Ken, a smaller rapper, become a headliner for Rolling Loud was a huge deal. His performing ability in concerts add a great key to his music and everyone has high hopes for keeping the audience hype, excited, and involved in the music. He has gained millions of listeners and people are starting to say he’s getting up their popularity wise with Playboi Carti. He is now Opium label mates with Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang who are other big underground rappers that helped him gain popularity. He is a huge influence for young adults to see him get so popular in such little time, and to be a headliner in one of the biggest hip-hop festivals in the world is revolutionary. Only some of the biggest trending rappers each year get selected to perform, so him headlining is a huge deal. He had been working for this and has put so much hard work into his music.
This is the first Rolling Loud show not being performed in Miami in 10 festivals, but had also been performed in New York and Los Angeles, and traveling overseas to India last year. Rolling Loud is one of the most popular rap festivals since it began in 2015. The festival starts on Friday at Camping World Stadium in Orlando with the headliner Don Toliver, and Saturday headline Playboy Carti for the top lineup. People think Ken will fit more into the theme than YoungBoy because of his underground style of rap rather than the gangster, chaotic noise of YoungBoy. Ken Carson adds onto the Opium style music since he is going to be working with his original signer, Playboi Carti, who will together reach for a great show the fans deserve. In the past, other famous artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Future, and Playboi Carti again have headlined for it.
Many fans who had specifically planned to go because of YoungBoy were disappointed that they spent a lot of money to not even see the performance that they paid to see. They thought that it was unfair of YoungBoy to cancel so close in advance to the show, especially for people that wanted to go just for him. Depending on the fanmusic styles, some are ecstatic to see Ken Carson instead of YoungBoy and are content with the change.
Though the music styles of NBA YoungBoy and Ken Carson are extremely different, they both would have done a killer job at performing this live in front of hundreds of thousands of people and both gravely deserve the part. Ken may not have as much experience as YoungBoy, but he will prove to people that music is constantly evolving and it’s not forever going to be trap rap music. Underground is slowly creeping its way up into many people’s interests and fans can’t wait to see how Ken is going to play it.
