As the school year begins again, students and teachers alike re-enter the building. Familiar faces shuffle through the halls, but the question remains. Where have you seen the face teaching history before? This is the question that both students and teachers attempted to answer as the new school year unfolds.
This comparison was one of the first suggested during the discussion of teacher/celebrity look-alikes, and it is incredibly easy to see why. Powell’s signature smile is replicated perfectly by Mr. Barley, and several other features are comparable between the two, such as their facial hair and eyes.

Of Game of Thrones fame, Kit Harrington has gone through several appearances, but with his shorter hair and beard as seen in this photo, the similarities between him and Mr. Finamore are undeniable.

During the production of this story, Mr. Brennan himself stated that he bore resemblance to several other celebrities, Russel Brand was a name that was brought up more than once. Ultimately however, it was determined that Irish musician Hozier was a name that could not go unadded. Notable similarities between the two include their hairstyle and facial hair.
While Scarlett Johannson regularly changes her appearance, her blonde hair and overall facial structure solidify her as the spitting image of Mrs. Smith. Several students both in and out of Mrs. Smith’s class confirmed this comparison, showing just how strong the similitude between the two is.
Especially seen in their shared eye and hair colors, Mr. Endress is a prime example of how teachers can resemble celebrities, in this case, he looks like Ed Sheeran. Additionally, they share a similar facial hairstyle, proving again how striking the comparability is between the two.
Another comparison that was made early on was Mrs. Ring and Reese Witherspoon. They both share long, blonde hair and blue eyes. These distinct features show an indistinguishability between the two that is not seen in any other teacher/celebrity look-alikes.
Mr. Farrel himself has noted how his and Justin Timberlake’s hairstyles were comparable, which can be seen best in the pictures taken of the two. Since this photo, Timberlake has opted to get rid of his curly hair, but it appears that this look has been immortalized by both the internet and Northern High School’s Mr. Farrel.
