Where do Northern seniors go after school to eat?

Senior year comes with a lot of perks. One of these perks is the option of a shortened schedule. With the ability to leave early or to come in late, it isn’t odd to see Northern Patriots at a fast food joint or store getting some grub. Here are some of the top places NHS seniors hit on their adjusted schedule:

Michael Fagan takes the Starbucks route after he dips from school, when asked why he said, “I don’t like greasy food that much so I like Starbucks.” Fagan spoke about his favorite food, “I get the ham and cheese baguette, it’s good.” And a drink? “No bev.”

One of the more popular choices after school appears to be Chick-fil-A. Both Aiden Johnson and Mikayla Jones tend to hit the Chick when they leave. Johnson’s reasoning behind this is, “There is nothing in Dunkirk to eat.” Jones says, “It’s just better than the others.” When asked about what they grabbed, Jones and Johnson were enthusiastic about answering. Johnson gets a Chicken Sandwich Deluxe, a large fry, (occasionally a milkshake), and if he’s extra hungry he gets a thing of chicken tenders. Jones gets a Chicken Sandwich, a large fry, and a sweet tea. Chick-fil-A gets hyped as a favorite due to its speed and food quality, and Northern students sure are keeping it in business.

Alee Ryon takes a unique route with her choice of cuisine. “I like Wawa after school,” she spoke. When asked why, she claimed, “I can get gas, it’s cheap, and it’s good.” Wawa has its own perks, such as its closeness to the school and its gas availability. At Wawa, Ryon snags a smoothie and a sub.

With the privilege of driving to school, students don’t have to hear “We have food at home.” Luckily Northern is settled between Prince Frederick and Dunkirk, so the food possibilities for the Northern Patriots are endless!
