On February 25th, 2025, American Football released their single, “Bad Moons.” Shortly thereafter, they released their whole album, American Football (Lp4) on May 1st, 2026. This album was available to the public nearly two years after the 25th anniversary remaster of their famed album, American Football (Lp1) with the hit, “Never Meant,” a cornerstone in the Midwest emo and math rock genres. The band notably collaborated with bands like Wisp, Turnstile and Rainer Maria on the record, American Football’s drummer, Steve Lamos stating to New Musical Express news magazine that, “It feels like ‘LP4’ is everybody trying to give as much as they can give to the larger thing.” The band is currently on a world tour, with shows on the east coast beginning on July 8th, 2026.
