Fans are discussing recent controversies about Bleeod’s new album.

The newly popular underground rapper Jamari Isiaha Spencer-Brown, stage name “Bleeod,” dropped a new album and received excessive backlash for it. It was released on May 14th, 2026, and people are unsure about his new, distinctive style of music and were reviewing that they missed his old music.
The 21-year-old American rapper was born in Florida and released his first song “GET DROPPED” on September 1st, 2018. He didn’t begin gaining attention until early 2022 with his single “takemeback” and from there, he had found his music style. He gained popularity for the memorable beat and flow in his song “nine²” and “alucard” with a voice like no other artist. He creates his music with deep, distorted rapping with rage beats including chaotic sounds all layered over each other. His music is glitchy and the lyrics are difficult to understand, but just listening to the beat alone is all that’s needed to understand his music. He still uses his old, original style of music, but he changed up beats and fans said that it sounded “too clean.” It was like other mainstream songs which defeat everything he built by creating his own style of rap.
The album included 9 songs with the most popular being “on E,” “push,” and “codeine tears.” Fans are torn about why he chose to alter his songs but some think that it makes Bleeod easier to listen to. A reddit review reads “Although not as unique as other stuff in his catalog, this is a surprisingly easier listen for Bleood, although I wouldn’t recommend it because personally it lacks some of the personality he has shown more in other albums.” Fans are more interested in his differentiated style with distorted lyrics; they don’t want him to change anything or become like other mainstream artists. Other fans prefer this music and believe it to be more tolerable than his old music, but that takes away from Bleood’s experimental form for the trained ears.
Bleeod has continued to become more well known daily, especially after he collaborated with popular underground rappers such as Xaviersobased, Nettspend, yrsci, Nine Vicious, and even North West. Bleeod was directly contacted on Instagram by Kim Kardshian to see if he would let North West create him some beats. He was flattered that someone as well known as Kim Kardashian had reached out to him for something he did all on his own. Yrsci was his most known partner in crime, they created “rascal 51” and helped him create “codeine tears.”
Whether fans are for or against Bleeod’s new smooth, calmer style of music, he is continuing to grow as a person and musician. He is making music the way he wants to make music and knows that real fans will stick with him in his experimental projects. The album is doing fantastic and is being talked about all over social media, and Bleeod is getting the influence he deserves.
