World Cup Draw
The draw for the 2026 World Cup that will take place in North America occurred on Friday, and each team’s path to the final is set. Starting in Group D, the USA drew a favorable group, and will play Australia, Paraguay, and the winner from the European Playoff Path C (Slovakia, Kosovo, Türkiye, or Romania). Our neighbors to the north will take on Qatar, Switzerland, and the European Path A winner (Wales, Bosnia, Italy, or Northern Ireland). Many are considering the “Group of Death” to be Group I. It contains 2022 finalist France, Erling Haaland and Norway, top African side Senegal, and the winner of the second ICF playoff (Iraq, Bolivia, or Suriname). -Jack Dusek
