Nettspend long awaited album is finally released

The 18-year-old underground rapper Nettspend officially released his highly anticipated album “Early Life Crisis.” There has been endless buzz on the internet about how the album is with heavily mixed opinions. The album dropped on March 6th, 2026 with 21 tracks being a continuation album to “BAFK.” The album elevated Nettspends music career popularity and his rap style is quickly moving to becoming more mainstream in Gen-Z rap. He includes features with OsamaSon and famous rapper YoungBoy Never Broke Again who has a completely different music style to pull this album all together.
The album, originally supposed to be released in late February, became the hottest talk on social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit with different opinions flooding about the dropping. Early Life Crisis is considered a rageful, loud, aggressive set of songs including songs such as “you ready?”, “ce”, “pain talk” featuring OsamaSon, and most popular of them all, “masked up” featuring YoungBoy. The opening song “you ready?” talks about his rising fame and where he stands in the music industry and how he attends to societal pressure. “Pain talk” featuring OsamaSon highlights the authenticity of emotion in rap and the highs and lows of being a young age rapper. It embodies chaotic beats with distorted backgrounds, and raw emotions of being young successful rappers. “Masked up” includes Nettspends signature rap style of glitchy beats and stuttering and puts YoungBoy onto it, while talking about fashion using intense bass and sirens for elevated emotion.
Though the album is an angry, raging collaboration of songs, it expresses serious emotion of intense stress, anxiety, and doubtful young adults who are overwhelmed by adulthood pressures. It relieves the stresses of getting a career, being in confusing relationships, submitting to bad life choices, and how it feels to be stuck or lost in your life. Though Nettspend is a successful young adult, he was introduced to these stressors at a young age and in past interviews talked about feeling “trapped” in his career and making bad relationship choices. He goes over real issues with life and career expectations in his music and how to overcome it.
This album has experienced good success followed with backlash. Some people with trained ears thought it was beautifully made while others just thought it was chaotic, challenging to understand, and confusing. Some songs were completely unfocused and might not make sense to people who don’t listen to Nettspend, but fans that do think that this album will go down in history. The album quickly debuted on the Billboard 200 chart showing more growing popularity from this album which shows its success even if its not for the loving side. Fans don’t just like Nett for his music style, but for his reflection on teenage lifestyles. It gives influence to young fans who want to do what Nettspend does and be like him. Most fans figured we won’t be receiving another album for a few years at minimum, but fans are willing to wait.
This album was completely unpredictable and chaotic, but the emotions that Nettspend conveys with his rap is always on another level. In his absolute chaos of music, there is deep meaning about Nettspend just wanting to be a successful kid. Whether people love or hate this album, it still did extremely well and it will make people talk if they rave about it or not.
