Warner Bros announces the name for the Minecraft movie sequel.
In an announcement spreading like a wildfire, Warner Bros. announced a sequel to the infamous minecraft movie in collaboration with Mojang. The movie is to be named Minecraft², a move speculated by many to be setting up a third minecraft movie, Minecraft³ (a reference to the games cube graphics.)
The decision follows a trove of viral reactions to the prior movie, which often led to theatres getting out of hand. Box office executives predict the movie to open to lots of money, largely due to the meme culture now surrounding the franchise.
Despite the plot remaining a secret, speculation regarding the film’s content can be found online on fan pages. Some theories include the characters exploring the nether, fighting the ender dragon, and a potential introduction of a character infamous to Minecraft lore, Herobrine.
