Season 2 of “Wednesday” continued to evoke the same thrilling and exciting feelings fans got from Season 1 through the way they extended the plot, introduced new characters, and explored character development overall. According to Rotten Tomatoes, season two of “Wednesday” got a better score on the tomatometer by 7%.

The plot of the second season was somewhat more exciting to watch because of the intense plot twists throughout. Throughout the season, more intrigue continued to build, leaving fans wanting to see every episode as it was released. The writers of the show were sure to include many important themes in the show such as comedy, horror, and suspense. Each episode did a great job at adding onto the suspense from the previous without feeling boring or repetitive.
There were a couple of new, memorable characters introduced in this season. One of the most popular characters was Agnes DeMille, played by Evie Templeton. Her excellent performance as a sixteen-year-old actress shocked many, including her fellow cast members and the directors of the show. Along with characters, many of the characters from the previous season showed some character development throughout season 2. We get to watch the main character undergo plenty of emotional growth between herself and others, showing how she is able to share emotions with others and grow within her boundaries between others while other side characters get to show their development with Wednesday and within their own personal stories during the show. The writers did an overall great job showing the changes in every character, while showing how every character can contribute to the different feeling of the show while being their own.
Finally, the pacing of the season was perfect for leaving viewers in suspense. If someone watched the second season when it first came out, then they only had access to four episodes—leaving them on a cliffhanger while waiting on the other half of the season.
Overall, “Wednesday” Season 2 was a great way to continue the show in an entertaining way. It kept the lighthearted comedy and thriller themes of the first season, while adding major plot twists and keeping the watchers on the edge of their seats.
